Dear children,

Diving in the Kunstverein? But there is no water there? You will be surprised by the many meanings diving can have! Together with a real artist and other children, you will be able to try out many different types of materials and find out what really makes art. Each session explores a new aspect of the exhibition. And you dont even need real water – just a sense of fun and discovery!

Pre-school children and very young school children can examine the practical world of art at the Kunstverein Hannover’s Diving into Art courses. Sessions takes place every two weeks taking place every 14 days are designed and led by professional artists.

“Is growing colorful?” “Who lives in the small worlds?,” “How do emotions get into art?” These and other questions make children curious and can motivate them to look more thoroughly at art. Diving into art means exploring new worlds and playfully moving about between productive chaos and planned order. The young art-divers playfully question colors, shapes, volumes and spaces with all their senses. Experienced artists accompany the experimental working process. They specifically target the children’s individual impulses and stimulate the children to creatively explore the themes of the exhibition.
